D.El.Ed Diploma in Elementary Education — still widely called BTC
In Uttar Pradesh the D.El.Ed is the qualification the state asks for from anyone who wants to teach in a government or recognised primary school. The course runs for two years and combines classroom study of child development, pedagogy and subject teaching with supervised teaching practice in real schools.
Bhagwan Mahavir Swami College has been training elementary teachers from Hathras and the surrounding districts since 2008, and is the only institute in Hathras district offering direct admission under minority status.

Bhagwan Mahavir Swami College of Elementary Teachers Training is a Minority Institute affiliated to SCERT, Lucknow and recognized by NCTE, Jaipur. Located at Mahamai Salawat Nagar, G.T. Holiday Notice — Eid-ul-Adha
The college will remain closed for Eid-ul-Adha. The exact date will be displayed on the college notice board; the normal schedule resumes on the next working day.
30 June 2026College Reopens After Summer Break
College will reopen for the new academic session on 1st July 2026. All students must report with required documents.
20 June 2026Fee Payment Reminder
Students who have not paid their annual fees are requested to clear dues by 15 July 2026 to avoid fine.
